As per a report from IGN, Bandai Namco has made several key announcements regarding the upcoming fighting game, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." One of the biggest aspects of this announcement was the confirmation of an open beta period although the company did not reveal when the open beta would begin and end.

The open beta will allow players try out Conton City, the new hub world. It is stated to be seven times larger than the hub city of the first game. Conton City is where players can find new quests, shops and also train to strengthen their fighters. The open beta will reveal all of the numerous hotspots of Conton City and its inhabitants.

The announcement also revealed a new multiplayer mode called Expert Mission. In this mode up to six players can team up to fight a single boss. Along with the new multiplayer mode is the announcement that there will be roughly twice as many quests in the new game when compared to the first although some will be parallels to quests from the first title.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will also feature a new system to allow players to manage what kind of drops they want, making it easier to find specific type of loot like preferred costumes or accessories. This will be a massive improvement over the loot system of the previous game where loot was randomized.

Majin Vegeta is also confirmed to join the roster. For fans of the series, Majin Vegeta was only briefly featured in the "Dragon Ball Z" anime and manga series. This was a form Vegeta took when the evil sorcerer Babidi gave Vegeta even more power so long as Vegeta would aid him in his journey to revive Majin Boo and take over the world.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" launches for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 25.
