'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2016' to be headlined by Nick Jonas, Ryan Lewis and Macklemore

The end of the year is just around the corner and according to a report from People, the annual "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2016" event that will take place during the New Year's Eve countdown has been joined by artists Nick Jonas, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

The report cites that the trio are the last performers announced for the event. Just like last year, it is expected that this year's event will have 38 performers across both the New York and Los Angeles New Year's Eve parties, with special guests appearing as well as telecasts of celebrations from around the world.

They will be joining a lineup consisting of One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ellie Goulding, Fall Out Boy, Walk the Moon, Demi Lovato, Carrie Underwood, Wiz Khalifa, Pentatonix, Iggy Azalea and more. Newcomer Alessia Cara will also be performing along with DNCE, now fronted by Joe Jonas and Nathan Sykes, the latter from Pentatonix.

Ryan Seacreast will be hosting the main event over at the New York City's Times Square while singer Fergie will be hosting the accompanying Billboard Hollywood Party over in Los Angeles, California with One Direction as LA's main headliner.

"The show will include special performances and reports on New Year's celebrations from around the globe. Ryan Seacrest will host and lead the traditional countdown to midnight from Times Square in New York City as he has for the last 10 years with live reporting from actress and comedienne Jenny McCarthy," reads an official statement.

As stated in a report from the IBTimes, last year's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" event had over 38 performances, which included those from Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea, Idina Menzel and Elton John, covering well over five and a half hours of music.

The "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2016" will officially air starting 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
