'Destiny 2's' latest patch for this year are mostly based on customer feedback

"Destiny 2's" first major patch for this year will be released alongside the title's inaugural Iron Banner Week, and Bungie already graciously laid out the patch details which will go live on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

In a blog post, Bungie explained some of the biggest aspects of the patch, and with the way the upcoming changes look, it seems that they made good on their promise to listen more to customer feedback and requests.

The Reward System in Raiding is one of the features of the game players are clamoring for more, as they feel that although the Raiding experiences were nothing short of fun and phenomenal, the loot or rewards they get don't always compensate for their efforts. With the latest patch, there are going to be some changes with the Rewards starting next week, starting with Raid Armor now dropping Raid Perks.

"Raid armor now drops with perks that function on the Leviathan; these appear on mods that are selectable on both new drops and existing Raid armor pieces you may alread have in your inventory. Additionally, these mods are reusable: if you swap to another one these will always be in the list to swap back to on your Raid armor for the low, low price of 1 Calus Token," explained by Senior Designer Daniel Auchenpaugh.

"All the Raid mods are Legendary by default. This should also be extra icing on the cake for players who can't seem to get that last mod they need to max their gear out. The goal for these perks was to elevate the power of Guardians in the Raid, and we aimed to build things that were useful in every encounter," Auchenpaugh added.

Additionally, clearing Prestige will give players Prestige and normal drops, and every encounter will guarantee a raid loot with a high chance of dropping an exotic like armors and weapons. To know more about the patch details, click here.

Patch 1.1.2 will release on Tuesday after the scheduled server maintenance from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST. The Iron Banner, with the Control gametype, will be released shortly after the update goes live.
