"Dead Dozen" is being developed by HypeTrain Digital, the developers of the unforgiving survival game "The Wild Eight, and its alpha version is reportedly going to be released sometime in January 2018.

A multiplayer zombie game "Dead Dozen" will feature two different groups of player controlled characters, the group of six soldiers and the group of six zombies. Both groups of players will face off against each other in different places, each with their own objectives.

The soldiers must eliminate the zombies and utilize both their weapons and the environment and items they find in order to survive. Meanwhile, the zombies have the opposite objective. They must work together and use strategy to take down the soldiers.

It's a player versus player scenario and both teams have to utilize their strengths and cover their weaknesses. Because the zombie team is only composed of six players as well, and because they are unarmed they will have to rely not merely on force but on their wits as well to catch the soldiers unaware.

It might seem like a bit of a disadvantage for the zombie team at first, but according to entertainment news website Den of Geek, that isn't the case. There's a handy little feature in "Dead Dozen" that plays in the favor of the zombie team. If one of the zombies manages to eliminate a soldier, that soldier will come back to life as one of the undead and will then have to assist the zombies against the soldier team.

The game's teaser trailer was released earlier on Nov. 8 on Fntastic's YouTube channel.

The video begins with the words "Siberia, Winter 1993" hinting at the game's setting and timeline. What followed after that were stills featuring one of the character designs and the game's environment. The teaser ended with a link to the game's official website.

Excited video game fans can pre-order the early access alpha version of "Dead Dozen's" Website.
