To welcome the new year, Salem City bursts with drama here and there. The Salemites are very busy with their own lives, and storylines continue to move forward this week. Without further ado, here are the spoilers for the week of Jan. 5 to 9:
Sonny, Will and Paul
According to Soap Central, Will shares an unexpected moment with Paul in a hotel room when the latter kisses him. He struggles with sharing his feelings at first, but later admits that he has feelings for Paul as well. Their moment comes to a screeching halt when Sonny walks in on them.
As for Sonny, he is struggling at work. It will be revealed later that their business is at risk of falling into pieces.
Rafe and Chad
Rafe has emptied his holiday spirits and decides to take out his frustrations on Chad. This week, Rafe confronts Chad and blames him for getting fired at work.
However, Chad remains unfazed as his love life with Jordan continues to move forward. Things between the couple heat up, but she still has her worries regarding his past.
Melanie and Theresa
Theresa is still heartbroken with her failed pregnancy, yet she can't refuse a fight with Melanie. The two get into an argument again. But later, Melanie realizes that Theresa is going through something and tries to fix their friendship.
Hope and Aiden
All of a sudden, Aiden has dramatically changed his attitude and demeanor, leaving Hope very confused. While Aiden has his reasons, Hope struggles to understand what is going on and Kayla tries to help her as well. But according to We Love Soaps, Kayla also informs her that Aiden threatened Bree to keep her from telling the truth.
Other spoilers
Aside from helping Hope, Kayla goes on a date and it turns out to be a bad one. Eric saves her from that date. In addition, Adrienne shares with Lucas her suspicions about Justin cheating on her. Lucas makes her feel better. Meanwhile, Nicole is now sure that Serena is hiding a secret and she discovers something that puts truth to her doubt. Also, she is more determined than ever to win Daniel back.
