'Dance Moms' season 6 news: Host Abby Lee Miller fighting show's producer?

"Dance Moms" returns on Jan. 5 on Lifetime. Lifetime

"Dance Moms" season 6 is currently in production and is expected to premiere next year. However, according to a report from Deadline, the season will have fewer episodes with host and dance instructor Abby Lee Miller, who recently revealed she is in a battle with the producers.

"If I've gone missing from a few Episodes in Season 6, don't believe anything anybody says. No doubt, I am fighting with a producer," the host stated.

Not giving any names from Collins Avenue Production, Miller explained that the producers constantly hand her suggestions for dance themes which she has to take and transform into something that she can actually use for a dance competition. This time, however, she was reportedly forced to deny an idea handed to her.

In this case, Miller claimed that the producers of the Lifetime series suggested Miller to choreograph a dance that was thematically about teen pregnancy.

"When a grown man tells me he wants one of my kids to portray a pregnant teen and wear a baby bump - I have to put my foot down," Miller explained. "If that means not moving my foot and not working and getting fined in the process, well that's a risk I am willing to take to protect my girls."

However, the report also points out that a bigger reason the host will not be frequently present in season 6 is because of another legal battle Miller is currently facing.

According to the report, Miller was accused of 20 counts of fraud. Miller allegedly hid over $755,000 despite filing for bankruptcy and it is stated in the report that the judge that was presiding over her financial issues realized none of her financial statements included profits from "Dance Moms."

Miller recently asked for a delay on the deadline given to her to provide the required paperwork to prove her case, this being her second extension. The first extension was given on Nov. 3 and her current deadline is set for Dec. 17. Miller is requesting for the deadline to be pushed to Feb. 1, 2016.
