Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver Dez Bryant sustained a minor foot injury during the team's Sept. 13 game against the New York Giants. Estimated time for recovery at the time was 4 to 6 weeks. However, according to a report from SportsWorldReport, Bryant may not be able to return for game week 7, which again pits the team against the Giants.

According to the report, Bryant has only participated in individual drills instead of full game practices and hasn't made cuts in his routes as of this time. The National Suntimes pointed out that since last Thursday, Oct. 15, Bryant has been able to perform resistance training alongside director of rehabilitation Britt Brown.

"We'll take a real good look at him tomorrow and Thursday," team owner Jerry Jones told Dallas Morning News. "It totally depends on how he's doing. He had a good end of the week last week. He got in some really good work. He didn't have much negative response from that work.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport stated via Twitter that this means the player won't be able to play against the Giants this coming Sunday, Oct. 25.

"Hard to imagine. Dez hasn't cut or practiced yet. 5 weeks from surgery, training staff won't put him in harm's way" Rapoport explained.

The official NFL report from September states that while the team hopes he may be back on the field for the game against the Giants, there is a chance that he won't be fully capable of playing for a few more weeks. The estimated time for full recovery, according to the report, may extend to 10 to 12 weeks instead of the aforementioned four to six.

If Bryant requires a full ten weeks to recover then he would be back on the field by Nov. 22 to play against the Dolphins. A few days later the Cowboys will also fight the Panthers on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. If Bryant will require 12 weeks to recover the report states he will still be able to play for the team's final five games for the season.
