"Cyberpunk 2077" may finally get revealed this year in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), as CD Projekt RED's confirmed attendance hints at a possible surprise.

With E3 2018 fast approaching, the official website of the expo has updated its list of attendees for the ceremony, which includes all the participating companies that have something to show or announce, usually an upcoming game complete with a gameplay walkthrough or teaser trailer. All the big names like Konami, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive and more are included along with CD Projekt RED, most famous for its "The Witcher" saga games.

Still, the development studio is keeping mum about any announcements it may have for the expo. Nevertheless, fans are optimistic that it could be their next big roleplaying game (RPG), "Cyberpunk 2077," which is due sometime in the near future. This is quite a big thing in the gaming community given the developer's reputation for RPGs, producing one of the best games to date in the form of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," which is one of the most decorated video games ever.

There is also another hint that points to "Cyberpunk 2077" getting announced at E3, and this is the official Twitter page of the upcoming video game. Apparently the Twitter account for "Cyberpunk 2077" has become active in January after four years of being dormant, hinting that something may be up and about with this title by CD Projekt RED.

It is worth noting that the game has been announced as far back as 2012 with a corresponding teaser trailer a year after, meaning, for the game to be underway right now is not too much of an expectation, and the developers may have just been secretive about it.

For the uninitiated, "Cyberpunk 2077" is CD Projekt RED's first new franchise venture after its highly successful "Witcher" trilogy. The game will leave the confines of medieval fantasy for a dystopian future akin to "Blade Runner" or other more recent cyberpunk genres like Netflix's "Altered Carbon."

Whatever the case may be for "Cyberpunk 2077," all will be clarified when the E3 2018 happens in June.
