Cult leader and criminal Charles Manson died on Nov. 19, Sunday.

Manson, died in prison at the age of 83. Now that he's passed, the prison and people are wondering what to do with his body. Whether his remains will be buried or cremated has yet to be answered, but according to Independent UK, those in charge are trying to make sure that the cultist's remains don't end up becoming a shrine of sorts.

The Morning Sun, has also been talking about the same issues, Manson reportedly had no next of kin. Aside from that, it is unknown whether he made specific requests for his funeral preferences. If none of Manson's relatives step up, then the state will end up deciding how to deal with his remains.

Manson reportedly died of gastrointestinal bleeding and was taken to a hospital where he died.

Before he was arrested, Manson was the leader of the so-called Manson Family, a community that formed in California during the 1960's. The family gained the attention of people and the media when they murdered actress Sharon Tate in 1968. At the time, Tate was pregnant.

This wasn't the only atrocity the Manson Family was responsible for. Reportedly, the group had committed several other murders, had assaulted people, and had even attempted to take part in an assassination attempt.

Included in his long list of crimes are the Bernard Crowe Shooting of 1969, where Manson shot Crowe in his apartment. The Gary Hinman murder, where Manson sent some of his followers to kidnap Hinman. The captured Hinman refused to cooperate and was eventually murdered. The Murder of Sharon Tate and six others, Manson sent a group of his people to the Melcher home where they killed Sharon and the other people present.
