Criminal Minds season 13 episode 19 promises plenty of intrigue and action as the BAU investigate a mysterious hostage situation.

The hostage situation involves a law firm in D.C. where Matt Simmons' wife, Kristy works.  Naturally Simmons will stop at nothing to see his wife safe.

Appearing in the role of Kristy is The Flash alum Kelly Frye, who previously appeared in the spinoff Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

Episode 19, titled "Ex Parte" airs on CBS on April 4, 2018.

Meanwhile, the synopsis for episode 20, "All You Can Eat," has also been released and teases Penelope Garcia trying to resolve some family issues.

The synopsis doesn't disclose exactly what that issue is but it involves a visit to her stepbrother.

All the while, the BAU are having to deal with crime on a pretty large and frightening scale when the Centers for Disease Control gets in touch to ask for help investigating a series of "mysterious deaths" in Virginia that they fear are the result of bioterrorism.

Episode 20 is set to air on CBS on April 11, 2018.

According to CarterMatt, the final two episodes of season 13 will air back to back on April 18.

Overall things seem quieter for the BAU after Linda Barnes' meddling has been nipped in the bud.  She was trying to steal a promotion for herself but thanks to the help of a senator, things got put to rights and Prentiss was reinstated.

"Criminal Minds" season 13 airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
