Prior to the premiere of the latest season of this hit TV series, quite a number of speculations and revelations have been floating around. Needless to say, these rumors and exciting announcements have further added to the anticipation of fans.

In a report from TVLine, the star of the shows "Jericho" and "Teen Wolf", Alicia Coppola, will be appearing as one of the guest actresses in the tenth season of this thrilling series. According to sources, Coppola will be cast as Lisa Randall. She will appear in the fourth episode of the season. Her character is said to be the leader of a Morgellons syndrome support group. In addition, Randall will be shown to be someone who is "willing to go as far as she can to protect group members privacy".

The same source revealed that Kerr Smith from "Dawson's Creek" will also be playing a guest role in "Criminal Minds" season 10. His character will be named Frank Cowles, who is disclosed to be a collector of body parts. Smith is said to be part of the season's premiere episode on October 1.

However, one of the most exciting news revealed is the inclusion of Jennifer Love Hewitt in the cast. In fact, fans have been exhilarated to find out that Hewitt will be part of the show as a series regular. According to Entertainment Weekly, Hewitt will be playing the role of Kate Callahan. This new character is described as a "seasoned undercover agent whose stellar work at the FBI has landed her a coveted position with the Behavioral Analysis Unit".

In an interview with TV Guide, executive producer Erica Messer shared that Hewitt's role is to play an eight-year FBI agent.

"Kate is smart, charming, and wise for her years," Messer described. "Her background is criminal psychology, and her passion comes from wanting to make the world a safe place. She's had a lot of personal loss that makes her a patriot and a nurturing figure to those in her personal and work families," the producer added.

In addition, Messer indicated that Hewitt's character will be doing something the team has never done. She added that Kate [Hewitt] will be seen "schomoozing with a bad guy, working undercover to take a pedophile down". The producer explained that these tactics have never been implemented by the team, which immediately makes Hewitt's character stand out.
