The Dallas Cowboys and the St Louis Rams will contest a massive game for both teams on Sunday, with both sides knowing that a win would get their season back on track, but a defeat could start them on another slide.

Both teams enter today's game 1-1 knowing that a slide to 1-2 could spell disaster for their season.

The Rams were destroyed 6-34 in Week 1 when they faced the Minnesota Vikings, but they managed to recover to 1-1 by scrapping a tight win 19-17 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They will want to build on that victory today, and although the Cowboys will be a tough game, the Rams will be confident in front of their home crowd.

The Cowboys have gone a similar route; suffering a bad 17-28 loss in Week 1 to the San Francisco 49ers. Although the score line doesn't appear too drastically bad, the performance from the Cowboys will have concerned Dallas a lot more.

However, like the Rams, the Cowboys were able to recover in Week 2, and they claimed a solid 26-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

So for both teams a win today would represent a two game win streak, however, for whoever loses, it will feel that their good work from last week has been undone.

The implications for both teams going forward into the season are big, and neither will feel they can afford to lose today.

Today's big game between the Cowboys and the Rams will start at 1 p.m. EST and can be watched online by clicking here.
