'Clash of Clans' Town Hall 11 update: Grand Warden's defense skills

Developer Supercell has confirmed that the Grand Warden is coming to "Clash of Clans" as part of the Town Hall11 update coming to the MMO strategy video game. The first preview of the hero showed off his offense skills, which allow him to attack both on the ground and into the air.

A newer sneak peek reveals how the Grand Warden does on the defense. During this mode, the character transforms into a statue and is able to access his unique Active ability called Eternal Tome.

This boosts the Life aura of all the Heroes, Clan Castle troops and the Skeleton Trap skeletons within the hero's radius, dramatically increasing their guard on the village and rendering them momentarily indestructible, which will prove useful to "Clash of Clans" players.

It is important to note that the Grand Warden's Eternal Tome ability works by healing the troops after attacks and does not counteract or protect troops against traps. But as long as everyone is close to him, his ability to eliminate vulnerability will always be an advantage.

The new "Clash of Clan" character's passive aura ability is mostly what the Grand Warden is all about. This drastically makes up for his hit points (HP) and damage per second (DPS), which are not really that high compared to the Barbarian King, who is a star in HP, and Archer Queen, who is big on DPS.

The other main difference of the newcomer from other heroes in the MMO game is that he can only be upgraded up to level 20 at max by using Elixirs. Barbarian King and the Archer Queen are upgradable beyond level 20.

It is expected that more sneak peeks showing Grand Warden in action in "Clash of Clans" will be released by Supercell soon. So far though, the game studio has managed to excite fans about the much-awaited Town Hall 11 update, which is said to drop this month.
