Prior to its unveiling, "Call of Duty: WWII" did not really make huge noise within the industry. Many doubted its plausible success, as fans believed that Activision would yet again develop an unacceptable title. Well, it has not really turned out that way, as the game is starting to acquire a huge following.

According to Windows Central, over the course of several years, the entire "Call of Duty" franchise has received mixed criticisms. Some would find the series satisfying, while others say the opposite. With the latest title, however, things are starting to look good.

"Call of Duty: WWII" will boast of a more realistic approach to the infamous World War 2. It will offer a single-player campaign and a robust, competitive multiplayer mode. Above all, it will arrive with various cooperative modes. These are things that fans have been looking forward to.

The upcoming title is expected to be highlighted at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June. During that time, Activision will release gameplay footage of the forthcoming title along with some previews of its other features. But above all of this, the studio will reportedly give out details regarding the game's private beta, which is expected to arrive before the official launch.

"Call of Duty: WWII" is said to offer a story-driven competitive multiplayer mode called War. It basically introduces an interesting perspective to the Axis vs. Allies team play. As of this writing, little is known about this particular feature; however, it is rumored to add key context and historical facts on different in-game conflicts.

The title is expected to be unleashed on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC come Nov. 3. The game is currently available for pre-order, be it for a digital or physical copy. Apart from this, the game will arrive in several special editions, perfect for fans who want to experience the full core of the game.
