"Bones" season 11 is just around the corner as it is set to premiere on Oct. 1. The news is welcomed by fans because of the many things that need settling from the previous season's ending. Booth and Brennan said their goodbyes and that seems to feel like the end for many viewers.

However, in an interview with TVLine, "Bones" executive producer Stephen Nathan hinted at a possible scenario why the show's leading characters will be back for season 11.

"Everything is up in the air right now, to be honest. I don't want to say yes or not to anything. It's a big task to work them back and get them resolved again. We don't want to take the easy way out. You don't want to just go back to a well that's running dry," Nathan said.

This provides a hint that if ever the couple would be back, it must be for a very good reason.

One thing that would be answered is Booth's disappearance, as he will be MIA on the first two episodes of season 11. The possible reason for this disappearance is given light by the showrunner of "Bones," Michael Peterson.

"It is a very personal reason. It's a family reason. He gets involved in something that's very close to home and is probably the only thing that would him away from the tranquil life the he was leading up until that moment," Peterson elaborated to Entertainment Weekly

The missing Booth story will also justify the need for the new people coming into the show. This could be an attempt to add investigative firepower to the Jeffersonian, and a very promising season for "Bones."

Casting news on "Bones" season 11 includes the entry of Betty White as Jeffersonian's new "squintern." White will play Dr. Beth Mayer, an experienced forensic anthropologist who will help out the Jeffersonian solve tough cases, according to a report by TVLine. White will be joined by Kim Raver who will play the role of FBI Special Agent Grace Miller. Miller will be instrumental in the investigation of Booth's disappearance, as leaked by Entertainment Weekly.
