Bill Cosby news: Seen in public once again

American actor and comedian Bill Cosby has been reported to be emerging from his longtime seclusion, and has been seen in public once again. The media took advantage of the rare sightings of Cosby, whose actions are being deemed by legal experts as a strategic way to possibly gain the sympathy of the jurors and the public ahead of his retrial for charges of molestation.

As it turns out, in over two weeks, the 80-year-old comedian has been spotted in multiple public places in his hometown of Philadelphia by the media, and even performed at one of the comedy clubs in the area. Cosby's last performance as a stand-up comedian occurred back in 2015, and reports have stated that he simply is not the same after two years. Perhaps, it is because of the accusations and legal battles that he has come across in recent years.

According to reports, Cosby's publicists even invited the media to document the nights that Cosby was out, and the reporters witnessed the comedian had dinner with some of his closest friends, and even wento to the LaRose Jazz Club where he performed his act. Law school professor Laurie Levenson suggests that Cosby is trying to rehabilitate his image by showing to the public that he is not a "bad guy."

However, Cosby and his camp have denied that the comedian's public outings are public relations effort to improve his image in any way. Cosby even stated that he just felt like going out to spend time with his friends and have a good time. He even documented his trips and posted them on his Twitter page. Despite Cosby's remarks, legal experts still think that the comedian's recent actions are an attempt to somewhat sway the jurors, in order to avoid conviction.

On April 2, Cosby will be attending a retrial for molesting a former employee at Temple University back in 2004.
