Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner update: Ex-couple reportedly closer but not getting back together

Following their announcement of their intention to separate in June 2015, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been under the spotlight for continuing to live together with their children in a large range in Los Angeles. According to a new report from PEOPLE, the two are now at their closest ever since they separated but are not getting back together.

"It took months for Ben and Jen to figure out a new normal," states the report's unidentified source. "Both Ben and Jen seem very focused about what's good with their family."

The report points out that despite being separated, the couple has been able to remain friendly to each other through the months. Instead of going their separate ways entirely, it is pointed out that both Affleck and Garner have been focusing entirely on what they believe is good for their family and for the children: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

It is also pointed out that they are planning a family vacation in Europe, where Affleck will be heading to film "Justice League: Part One" later this spring. Affleck recently spent the past few months filming for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" as well as a few scenes for "Suicide Squad."

Garner also cleared out that the rumor of Affleck cheating on her with their children's nanny was not true, according to a report from Vanity Fair. According to Garner, the couple had been separated for months before any rumor regarding the nanny surfaced. She also confirmed that the nanny had nothing to do with the divorce.

In the report, Garner explained that she has also stopped watching news regarding their divorce. Acknowledging that their divorce was under the public eye since both parties are well-known movie stars, Garner explained that she no longer cared to know how their divorce is viewed by the outside world and just wants to focus on what is good for their children.

Garner will star in the upcoming film "Miracles from Heaven" as Ben Affleck will appear in the three aforementioned DC Extended Universe films.
