"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit the silver screens very soon but the rumors surrounding its plot are not letting up, a sign of the immense anticipation for the movie. The excitement is warranted as two of DC Comics' greatest heroes will go head to head in this epic film.

One of the biggest mysteries about the film is the role Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will have in the storyline. Heroic Hollywood claims that the superhero will battle a tough enemy which is no other than Doomsday. The villain, however, is not yet confirmed to be in the film and the Amazonian superhero's involvement in the movie is not yet clear.

Meanwhile, Michael Shannon clarified the stories about his character, Zod, having flippers. It can be remembered that Shannon was narrating to Vulture a story about him struggling with flippers on the set, launching speculations online about the implications of that small piece of information. But in a Daily Beast report, Shannon recanted his involvement in the film.

"It's a really awkward situation — I'm in the trailer for a movie that I didn't work on," Shannon said, ending the confusing possible twist of a flipper-handed Zod.

Perhaps one of the blurry areas that remains about the upcoming film is Joker's appearance. The trailer showed Bruce Wayne reading spray painted messages that sound a lot like Joker's rhetoric. But was it really Joker? Will he be appearing in the new film? How would he fit into the story?

While the trailer leaves people with more questions than answers, Joker is too big of a villain to be casually dished out in a franchise as huge as this one. Latin Post mentioned in one of its reports that Joker's current engagement in "Suicide Squad" will leave him too busy to make a prominent appearance in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice."
