'Avengers 2: Age of Ultron' spoilers: Joss Whedon squashes Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston casting rumors

Director Joss Whedon finally commented on the latest "Avengers: Age of Ultron" spoilers that claim that Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston will join the cast of the new "Avengers" film.

It was rumored last week that Elba will reprise his role as Heimdall from "Thor" and "Thor: The Dark World" alongside Tom Hiddleston as Loki, in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The speculations were backed up by the post in the IMDb site that allegedly confirmed the involvement of the two actors.

During an event for Equality Now in Beverly Hills, California, the director was asked whether he will send a "scolding" email to Elba, who was allegedly responsible for the leaked news of his appearance in the film.

"Um, should he receive an email from me, there might be an attitude of scold. Yeah, when you have a cast of 19,000 people, inevitably, once every month, you pick up [a story] and you're like, 'Awww'," Whedon answered, as quoted by Movie Web.

Meanwhile, Whedon already said before that Loki will no longer appear in the movie. There were speculations that Loki and Heimdall may appear in a vision or an alternate reality created by Scarlet Witch played by Elizabeth Olsen.

However, previous reports stated that the second Avengers film will give more attention to the villain – Ultron. The new antagonist played by actor James Spader who is a technological villain who dispises human existence.

According to the summary from Marvel and Disney Pictures, "Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure."

Robert Downey, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johannson, and Jeremy Renner will reprise their roles as members of "The Avengers". Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are also cast in the film.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will hit the movie theatres on May 1, 2015.
