Asus ZenWatch rollout is around the corner: Apps for new watch available for download

Asus ZenWatch Asus

Asus will soon be joining the rows of techy wearables out on the market with its very own ZenWatch. And to outfit everyone with the new-fangled gear, the company has made three companion apps readily available for download over at the Google PlayStore so each user can make the most of his or her ZenWatch experience.

First is what Asus calls the ZenWatch Manager. It is a function that caters customization and expediency. With the app, wearers are given the ability to assign basic settings in the timepiece that complement their taste. The ZenWatch Manager allows users to set their preferred watch face from nice-looking inbuilt picks. They can also set the device on ambient mode with the app. Conveniently, the ZenWatch Manager can remotely connect wearers to their nearby smartphones easily, giving them access without actually unlocking the handset.

The app is also made more practical with features like Cover to Mute, Unlock My Phone, and Find My Phone. Moreover, users can immediately and easily send and contact anyone with preset messages, useful during emergency situations and perhaps on lazy days. The app can also make the ZenWatch function as a compass and even as a flashlight.

The second app is the Remote Camera, which controls the camera of the user's smartphone or tablet to capture photos. This one is available on all Android wearables, but the handsets to connect with should run Android 4.3 or higher for it to work.

The last one is the ZenWatch Wellness app tailored to monitor users' health and daily activities. It simply acts as a sensor for gauging heart rates and steps. Basically, this is a lovely application very much apt in keeping track of the wearer's workout routines and wellbeing In addition, it has an inbuilt bio-sensor that allows wearers to measure relaxation levels. On top of that, it comes with sporadic stress-fighting tips.

The Asus ZenWatch is an addition to the Android Wear. Its release remains a secret but with the apps already standing by, it surely won't be a long wait.
