There's no denying that high-caliber games become a thousand-fold more awesome when played behind a PC screen. Good things come to those who wait, as they say, and "Assassin's Creed Rogue" is no different. The "darkest chapter yet" won't come to PCs until 2015 but the promise of the new "Assassin's Creed" title in pristine and highly-detailed graphics squeezed into any diehard gamer's native PC resolution is already a divine thought.

The news was almost offhanded. For something that huge, the good news was simply revealed at the end of a new story trailer, while the video urged gamers to pre-order.

"Assassin's Creed Rogue" was initially announced for an exclusive Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release on Nov. 11 in North America and Nov. 13 in Europe. However, to everyone's delight, the wonderful news came along.

"Assassin's Creed Rogue" is a slay spree with Assassin Shay Patrick Cormac as he vows loyalty to the dark Templar side. In the arctic game, the former member of the Assassin brotherhood will transform into their most sinister rival. Players will trudge through the frosty realm as the Assassin Hunter.

The action-adventure video game is a direct sequel to the 2013 title, "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" and will therefore function in the colonial era setting. The "Assassin's Creed" official website enumerated three locations to witness Cormac combat his former brothers: the cold winds of the North Atlantic Ocean; the ground/water hybrid known as the River Valley; and an 18th century New York City.

The new Templar devotee will not only be extra sinister but more powerful as well, with various ammunition and superior eagle vision. "Assassin's Creed Rogue" is a mix of definitive and brutal. Battles over the icy blankets and glacial blankets will make it all the more entertaining. And thanks to Ubisoft and its subtle proclamation, PC gamers will join the legions of PS3 and Xbox gamers in enjoying the best of Shay Patrick Cormac's worlds.

"Assassin Creed" titles have been undergoing PC integrations over the years and this news, although totally welcome, does not exactly come as a shocker.
