Ubisoft and Square Enix teamed up to bring a little taste of "Final Fantasy XV" to the adventure video game "Assassin's Creed: Origins." A new side quest is now available in Origins that will reveal a few fragments from the XV edition.
The side quest "A Gift From The Gods" is now live and can be engaged in on "Assassin's Creed: Origins." The quest will commence at the Giza Region. It is rather a short one with only one puzzle. After completing the quest, Bayek will be rewarded with a sword and a shield from "Final Fantasy XV." Players will acquire Noctis' Ultimate Blade and the Ziedrich shield upon completing the quest.
A short cut scene of the quest also features Ardyn Izunia and Bahamut from FFXV entering Egypt. The main highlight of the quest, according to several gamers, is the Chocobo - Camel hybrid named Kweh. Ubisoft also left some small pieces of FFXV along the massive area of Origins like a Chocobo sticker, a moogle doll, and a Cactuar figurine. The crossover event received positive feedback from players.
The collaboration between Ubisoft and Square Enix was announced back in August. It was "Assassin's Creed: Origins" that first visited the world of Eos. On Aug. 31, Square Enix released a new DLC event update for the "Final Fantasy XV" that brings "Assassin's Festival" content to the game. Noctis and his peers also got the chance to wear the iconic Assassin's hood from the "Assassin's Creed" video game franchise.
One fan commented, "Thanks for the cool quest! It was a really nice surprise. Props to the team."
Ubisoft also congratulates the entire franchise of "Final Fantasy" for reaching a new milestone. Ubisoft tweeted, "Congratulations to @FinalFantasy on 30 amazing years! We're honored to have a small part in this incredible legacy. #FF30th."
