This year's U.S. women's figure skating Olympic team has been announced, but one name who missed out on this year's main roster was furious about not making it on the team.

Ashley Wagner, 26, was a two-time Olympic figure skating contender who won the bronze medal back in the 2014 Olympics. This year might have been Wagner's third try to get to the top, unfortunately, her name wasn't included in Saturday's announcement of the line-up by the selection committee.

"I'm furious, I am absolutely furious. I know when I go and I lay it down and I absolutely left one jump on the table, For me to put out two programs that I did at this competition as solid as I skated and to get those scores, I am furious, and I think deservedly so," Wagner revealed.

"I honestly think that at the end of the day, this is how I feel, and I feel like I need to stick up for myself, and I think that I delivered when I really needed to. I think all these girls delivered when they needed to, but I want to be on that Olympic team and I'm really mad that I'm in this position again."

The three-time national champion and Sochi team bronze medalist only made fourth place during the U.S. figure skating championships last Friday night, only 2.4 points behind third-placer Karen Chen. According to Wagner, she was incredibly under-marked, and openly said that she doesn't deserve the low scores given to her by the judges.

The figure-skating community was shocked, as Wagner was expected to be the face of this year's U.S. Figure Skating team in the Olympics. Deliberation for team selection began late Friday night, and this year, the selection committee picked the first three finishers of the 2018 nationals.

Bradie Tennell, 19, Mirai Nagsu, 24, and Karen Chen, 18, are the oneshttps://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2018/01/06/usa-figure-skating-team-olympics-bradie-tennell-mirai-nagasu-karen-chen/1009935001/ chosen to represent U.S. at the Olympics this year. Ashley Wagner, however, was named as first alternate.

The 2018 Olympics will be held at Pyeongchang, South Korea.
