A new rumor claims that Apple will roll out a minor iOS 8.1.3 update ahead of the release of iOS 8.2. The update is set to bring solutions to the remaining bugs and issues left unresolved by iOS 8.1.2. This includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connections and battery issues. According to reports, the iOS 8.1.3 update is expected to hit devices in the next few weeks. Apple has not announced when it will roll out this minor update, but users will surely receive a notification when it becomes available.

Concurrently, the company is also preparing for the release of a major update, the first time that Apple will roll out an x.2 version of its operating system since iOS 4. The iOS 8.2 update has already been made available to developers for testing and scrutiny. Also included in the beta version is the WatchKit software development kit, which allows developers to create apps meant for the new wearable tech, the Apple Watch. However, the exact release date of iOS 8.2 is still unknown. Some reports say that it will be released early next year.

iOS 8 is included in the latest iPhone and iPad devices. Initially, there were a lot of users who updated to the latest version of the operating system. However, there has been a sudden decline in the number of users updating their devices. Those who haven't done so yet can download and install the current iOS 8.1.2 via Over-The-Air update or by connecting to iTunes. Users can also check the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update. The iOS 8.1.2 update is available for the following Apple devices: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as well as to iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display, iPad mini, iPad (third- and fourth-generation), iPad 2, and fifth-generation iPod touch.
