With the considerable success of films that have been drawn out from Marvel comic books, including the "Avengers" and individual characters such as "Iron Man", "Captain America" and "Thor", another superhero is yet to follow.

Produced by Marvel Studios and to be distributed by Walt Disney Studios, the upcoming movie has been deemed as the twelfth film for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Currently, the "Ant-Man" film is in production with Peyton Reed taking on directorial duties and Michael Douglas leading the cast as he portrays the role of Hank Pym.

"Homeland" actor Martin Donovan has recently been signed for an important role, although no details have been announced yet.

Paul Rudd will be playing Scott Lang a.k.a Ant-Man while Evangeline Lilly has been set to portray Hank Pym's daughter. All in all, the movie will follow the story of Lang in aiding Dr. Pym in protecting the Ant-Man technology, which enables its user to be reduced in size but have considerable gains in terms of strength and be capable of defending the Earth.

Last August, "Ant-Man" filming proceeded in the Tenderloin neighborhood as well as the Buena Vista Park. Recently, the cast and crew transferred to Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Georgia whereas filming has been set to continue in downtown Atlanta's State Archives building.

Other cast members in "Ant-Man" include Corey Stoll who will obtain Pym's company and get his hands on the Ant-Man technology that will allow him to come up with the Yellowjacket suit. As such, fans are looking forward to Yellowjacket being Ant-Man's main enemy in the movie.

Rumors for other villains have also surfaced as Evangeline Lilly took to Instagram and shared a photo of David Dastmalchian and T.I. that had been captioned with "#TheCrims", which her fans and followers believed to mean criminals for the upcoming film. However, this has been left unconfirmed.

Appearing in "Iron Man 2", John Slattery has also joined the cast to reprise his role as Howard Stark.

"Ant-Man" has been set for an official premiere worldwide on July 17, 2015.
