"Angie Tribeca" is coming back for its fourth season with a new series regular, Kiersey Clemons.

According to Deadline, Clemons will play the role of Maria Charo, a rebellious genius who can speak 50 languages — all of which are at a tourist level only, however. The Los Angeles Police Department will recruit her from a local college as a tech expert with a great weakness for computers.

Clemons rose to fame after her stellar performance in the critically acclaimed comedy-drama film "Dope" in 2015. She was last seen in the sci-fi horror movie "Flatliners," alongside Ellen Page, Diego Luna, James Norton and Nina Dobrev. She will be back on the big screen in a couple of weeks as she plays Iris West in "Justice League."

"Angie Tribeca" follows the comedic adventures of the titular character, an LAPD detective played by Rashida Jones. She and her squad often investigate the most trivial cases — from a ventriloquist murder to a Tinder-like hook-up site — all with a straight face. The series' brand of comedy is considered a hit with the masses.

In July, Variety reported that TBS renewed the series for a 10-episode fourth season. This after "Angie Tribeca" charted as one of cable TV's quarterly top 10 comedies, across all demos. It also earned two consecutive seasons of growth among adults aged 18 to 49 — a growth of 13 percent for last year's second season and yet another 8 percent for the third season, which ended last June.

Apart from Clemons and Jones, "Angie Tribeca" will bring back other fan favorites — Hayes McArthur, who plays Tribeca's LAPD partner in solving crime, Jay Geils; Jere Burns, their precinct captain Chet Atkins; Deon Cole, fellow detective DJ Tanner; and Andree Vermeulen, the squad's medical examiner, Dr. Monica Scholls.

"Angie Tribeca" was created by executive producers Nancy and Steve Carell. Season 4 is slated for release in 2018 on TBS.
