Google's newest mobile OS, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, is set to roll out soon and expected to be packaged in with Google's two flagship phones, the Nexus 6P made by Motorola and Huawei's Nexus 5X. However, Motorola has released an updated list of their devices that will also be able to upgrade to Android 6.0.

The list includes the upcoming Nexus 6P, which is a given since the device is made by Motorola and is one of the two aforementioned flagship devices for Google. However, down the list, Motorola users will discover that some older models will still be able to upgrade to Android 6.0, including last year's Motorola DROID Turbo.

Motorola's DROID Turbo has become a popular phone since its release due to its wireless charging and turbo charging features which enable it to charge up to 8 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and boasts a high-quality 21-MP rear camera.

The DROID Turbo initially came packed with Android 4.4.4 KitKat but has since been upgraded to Android 5.1 Lollipop. Given that it was packaged with an Android OS two generations old, it does come as a bit of a pleasant surprise for owners that it will be able to upgrade even further to the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Other phones listed other than the Motorola DROID Turbo include the 2015 devices Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X Style, Moto X Play, and the third-gen Moto G. Older models from 2014 include the older US Moto X Pure Edition, the Latin American, European and Asian second-gen Moto X and both the Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE.

Surprisingly, the 2014 Moto MAXX and 2014 Moto Turbo have been included on the list as well. No first-generation devices have been included, which may be fortunate as Android 6.0 Marshmallow might prove too heavy a load for their older processors and memory space.
