While the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS was plagued with myriad of bugs and issues since its release, some users are looking for alternatives and are making the switch.

Forbes reported that the latest flavor of Android has not impacted the Android devices greatly and nobody is using it. The operating system was used by less than 0.1 percent Android users.

When Google announced the next generation of Android OS coined as 5.0 Lollipop, it made people anticipate for the operating system. The tech giant even rolled out a developer preview of the mobile software before it was introduced to the public. The purpose of the preview is to sweep the bugs off the OS.

Thus, it came as a surprise that the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS was full of bugs and issues upon its release late last year, which still left unresolved until now.

A main issue complained mostly by users is the connectivity issue caused by updating to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. According to users, some devices like the Nexus line were unable to connect to the Internet despite the networks and passwords were saved in the device. Another problem often cited by users is the fast draining battery life.

Problems not only arise after installing the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS update, some users also encountered issues during the installation process. Some users lost some data while installing the new mobile software Over-The-Air, while others cannot complete the installation process.

Google recently rolled out the Android 5.0.1 in attempt to resolve the bugs and issues. However, some users still report that they are experiencing bugs and issues. Most users are on the edge of their seats for a major Android OS update.

With these aforementioned issues, it deeply affected the sales of the new Nexus devices – Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Since the operating system has some issues, some mobile manufacturers have not adopted it yet and are still waiting for a stable version from Google.
