To the dismay of many Google fans, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update roll out is still unclear despite the imminent release of the next generation Android OS – 4.5 Lollipop.

Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update has not received a release date confirmation from the search engine giant. It was initially speculated that the OS update will roll out on Nexus and Google Play Edition devices followed by HTC One M7 and M8 and Sony and Samsung devices.

April and May alleged release dates have past as well as the purported May 23 roll out have been delayed due to some unspecified issues found, according to Android Geeks. There are whispers that Google may not release the rumored update and just jump in launching the 4.5 Lollipop OS.

The Android 4.4.3 roll out was delayed indefinitely and some reports claimed that the update will arrive sometime next month. It was reported that Android 4.4.3 version of Kitkat OS will bring different bug fixes to issues and problems brought about by the previous OS upgrade.

Allegedly, Android 4.4.3 will tow three dozens of bug fixes to further stabilize the Kitkat OS, while leading the way to the release of its successor. Some of the expected solutions that the update will bring are: unstable data connections fix, improved camera focus, random reboot issues solution, missed call LED fix, Wi-Fi auto-connect fix, VPN fix, USB debugging security fix among others.

Samsung-centric website SamMobile reported that the Android 4.4.3 with a build number"KTU70" is currently being tested to the Snapdragon and Exynos variants of Samsung Galaxy S5 as well as to the LTE-A version of Samsung Galaxy S4.

The report added that Samsung is integrating the company's own user interface in the Android OS. Thus, the Samsung-customized update will roll out in July or later. This just falls into schedule if Google will announce the 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update to Nexus and Google Play Edition devices either this month or in June.
