'American Horror Story' season 4 spoilers: Patti LaBelle to chase after the Twisted Clown

Patti LaBelle will be the newest addition in the cast of "American Horror Story" season 4 and she will chase after the Twisted Clown.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the Grammy award winning R&B icon will star in a four-episode arc. She will play the character of a resident in the town of Jupiter, Florida who will investigate the secrets behind the main villain of the new season. She will also play the mother of Gabourey Sidibe's character.

Meanwhile, show runner Tim Minear assured the waiting fans that "Freak Show" is "not like the first three seasons." One of the characters to watch out for is the villain to be played by John Carroll Lynch. He is set to play the most terrifying" twisted clown, according to show creator Ryan Murphy.

Ryan Murphy along with some of the cast of AHS Coven attended the San Diego Comic Con last month and revealed that John Carroll Lynch will play the role of evil twisted clown and will be the main villain of the show.

The alleged casting sheet of the show leaked during Comic Con where it was shown that Sarah Paulson will play the role of the two-headed character or the conjoined twins Dot and Bette. Other characters include Kathy Bates as Effil Darling; Evan Peters as Jimmy Darling; Emma Roberts as Maggie; Angela Bassett as Desiree Dupree; Michael Chiklis as Wendell Del Toledoand Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars, as the ring master of the freak show.

On the other hand, Kathy Bates hinted what fans should expect in the upcoming "American Horror Story" season 4 Freak Show. She said that she could not sleep after filming her first scene. "After my first scene last week — and this is a terrible confession to make — I couldn't sleep until six in the morning, and then I slept for 30 hours. And that was without drugs, I swear to God. I think [Ryan Murphy] scares the s–t out of me," Kathy Bates told TV Line.

"American Horror Story" season 4 entitled Freak Show will go on air in October at FX.
