Retail giant Amazon unveiled its first smartphone, which the company named as Fire Phone.

Reports said that Amazon has been developing its own smartphone for years. Surprisingly, the new Amazon Fire Phone packs amazing specs and features. Unfortunately, the new Fire Phone does not come with the latest Android OS. The online retail company developed its own operating system based on Android. Below are the top five features that consumers will surely love from Amazon Fire Phone.

Not-so-big screen display

The Amazon Fire Phone packs a not-so-big screen display that is 4.7 inches in size and it really fits in your pocket. The screen display is an IPS LCD HD screen with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution.

Quad core Snapdragon processor

Users can expect a fast performance with the new Amazon Fire Phone as it packs a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Although this is not the latest processor from the manufacturer, the CPU is expected to be faster than dual core handsets. The smartphone also packs a separate graphics chip – Adreno 330 GPU. These processors were paired with a fair 2GB of RAM.

Fair camera specs

The latest smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.0, optical image stabilization (OIS), dedicated hardware key and unlimited photo storage. The device is also equipped with 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

Exclusive technology

Some of the exclusive features included in the Amazon Fire Phone are 3D Dynamic Perspective technology, Firefly and Mayday. Firefly, which is an exclusive feature of Amazon's smartphone that uses a camera to recognize a number of things, like books, phone numbers, CDs, URLs, bar codes, games, QR codes and more. The feature looks it up in the database and pulls up the info. Firefly is also able to listen to requests as well. In addition to pulling up information about them, users can also click to buy them.

Friendly price tag

Just like other Amazon devices, the Amazon Fire Phone is being offered at a very low price. The price of the handset starts at $199.99.
