Blake Lively is one of the most highly regarded modern actresses in the business of filmmaking today, having made a splash in "Gossip Girl" and films like "The Town" and "The Age of Adaline." Despite being a prominent Hollywood star, there are a lot of facts about her that fans may not be aware of, such as the following.

1. Blake Lively comes from a family of actors and Hollywood regulars. Her father Ernie Lively was an actor and her mother Elaine worked primarily as a talent scout. All of her siblings, from her brothes Eric and Jason to her sisters Lori and Robyn, have all been involved in the entertainment industry at some point or another.

2. While she has not been nominated for an Academy Award yet, the young actress has been a favorite among the Teen Choice Awards, winning several awards for her role on "Gossip Girl" and being nominated for her role in "Green Lantern" and "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants."

3. Blake Lively has also been known to date several highly regarded stars such as her "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley and Academy Award-winner Leonardo di Caprio. After those high-profile relationships, she then met and married actor Ryan Reynolds, and the two are now expecting their second child.

4. While being a prominent star, she did not start appearing on magazine covers until 2007 when she landed the cover for CosmoGirl. Since then, the actress has appeared on multiple magazine covers although she has never labeled herself as a model, and has always referred to herself as an actor first and foremost.

5. As stated in a report from Useless Daily, she gave a photo of herself to casting people when she auditioned for "Sisterhood." This was because the actress had not done any other projects before it, but she was able to nab the role. Following her performance in "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants," her career boosted forward, particularly when she played a part in the Ben Affleck film "The Town."
