Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and smartwatch photo leaked by Sony

Sony seemed to have intentionally leaked the photo of its upcoming Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and smartwatch.

The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact was first leaked last week in a Sony user guide. Now, the Japanese manufacturer revealed the device itself. According to tech website dedicated to android devices Android and Me, the photo was spotted on a Facebook page promoting the new SmartBand wearable. The photo showed a person holding a smaller white tablet while wearing a black smartwatch by the pool.

The tablet seemed to have a 7 or 8 inches screen panel, which appeared to be the smaller version of the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet. Rumors claimed that the tablet will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and a Full HD display resolution.

The watch, on the other hand, could be the newest member of Sony's SmartWatch family. The SmartWatch 2 was launched in mid-2013 and with the release of other smartwatches from LG and Samsung, it is likely that the company will release the new wearable this time.

The photo showing water suggested the water-resistant feature that made Sony Xperia devices famous.

Reports stated that the Sony device will arrive at the IFA event in Berlin alongside the Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone. The first Xperia smartphone was introduced in the market at last year's IFA event. If rumors proved to be true, the new Sony devices will be released on Sept. 3.

A post in Xperia Blog reads: "Mark your diaries Sony fans, we have received word that Sony's 2014 IFA press conference will be taking place on Wednesday 3rd September from 16:15 to 17:00 CEST. Expect new smartphones such as the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact to be announced along with hopefully some new wearables such as the SmartWatch 3 and the latest iteration of lens-style cameras."
