Xbox Live Games with Gold June 2015 list includes 'Massive Chalice,' 'Just Cause 2'

Massive Chalice will be available as a free download for Xbox One Live Gold subscribers for the month of June Double Fine Productions

June has arrived and with the turn of the month comes several new free games that Xbox Live Gold members can download. There are two games being released for the Xbox 360 and another two games being released for the Xbox One. All titles are free to download for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

According to a report from the Xbox main news site, from June 1 to 15, Xbox 360 gamers can download the highly acclaimed "Just Cause 2," which is normally retailed for $14.99. The game was developed by Eidos Interactive and published by Square-Enix and is an open-sandbox action-adventure game set in a fictional island in Palau.

Going from June 16 to 30 is "Thief," the fourth installment and soft reboot title of the "Thief" steal-action games. Gamers take control of the master thief Garret and must use stealth and minimal tools to infiltrate castles and mansions in order to steal from the rich. The game's regular retail price is $29.99.

Xbox One gamers, on the other hand, will be able to download "Massive Chalice," one of the first Kickstarter game projects that saw completion and release. The game is a turn-based strategy game in the same vein of "Heroes of Might and Magic" and "Sid Meier's Civilization" series. "Massive Chalice" is retailed at 19.99.

The other Xbox One title is "Pool Nation FX," a billiards simulator game with realistic backgrounds and improved physics to properly simulate the table game at its finest. The game was also offered in April and May. The game is retailed at $13.99.

Aside from the free games for this month, Xbox is now offering discounts for Xbox Live Gold members. For those who are using the Xbox One console, "NBA 2K15," "Risk," "Trivial Pursuit Live," "Monopoly Family Fun Pack," and "Shape Up" are sold at 50 percent off; "Costume Quest 2" is cheaper by 60 percent; while "Sparkle Unleashed" now costs 20 percent less. Other titles are listed in the Xbox Deals with Gold marketplace.
