WWE will open 2018 with a bang with the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble. Stephanie McMahon made the announcement after her return to RAW.

On Dec. 18, McMahon went on stage with a number of female wrestlers behind her to announce the big reveal. McMahon stated, "Do you people want to see these women make history again? Then on Jan. 28, the road to Wrestlemania kicks off in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and we will have for the very first time an all-women's Royal Rumble match."

McMahon then turned to the wrestlers behind her and uttered, "All of you turned that revolution into an evolution." The female wrestlers on stage with McMahon were emotional when she made the announcement, and the entire audience cheered on.

WWE tweeted, "History will be made on January 28th when the women of @WWE compete in a #RoyalRumble match!" Several WWE stars rejoiced with the news including Nia Jax, Ruby Riot, Sarah Logan, Asuka, and more.

McMahon expressed her gratitude toward the WWE universe for giving her the opportunity to announce the milestone. The RAW commissioner tweeted, "Such an honor to announce the first-ever women's #RoyalRumble match on #RAW tonight. WWE's female superstars raise the bar every chance they get and I can't wait to see them make history once again."

With more than a month to go before the rumble match, there are already reports circulating online about winner prospects. Bleach Report's list of most likely winners includes Asuka, Nia Jax, Paige, and Becky Lynch. The report also includes the name of MMA star Ronda Rousey who is rumored to join the WWE universe in the near future.

Fans are now looking forward to two Royal Rumble matches on Jan. 28, 2018. Not only that, WWE supporters are also looking for the much-anticipated Triple Threat Match between Kane, Braun Strowman, and Brock Lesnar. The match is being dubbed by WWE as a clash between Beast, a Demon, and a Monster.
