When we look upon the Lord, we cannot help but be changed, says Kari Jobe

Grammy award-nominated Christian singer Kari Jobe said that her song "Look Upon the Lord," which is taken from her album Majestic, is all about the positive impact Jesus Christ has on people.

"There is something powerful, something life-giving, something miraculous and transforming about turning our eyes to Jesus.

"No two glimpses are ever the same. But each one changes us," she wrote on her Facebook page.

She cited several instances in the Bible where people experienced life-changing situations because of the Lord: When Peter kept his eyes on the Lord, he could defy the laws of physics.

Zacchaeus climbed a tree just to get a glimpse of Jesus in passing, but because of his actions, Jesus decided to dine in his house and he was able to start a new life.  When a hemorrhaging woman kept her eyes locked upon Jesus during her physical turmoil, she was able to walk away whole.

"Mary Magdalene went only to see the broken, lifeless body of her beloved Messiah and friend. Instead she became the first to behold the resurrected conqueror of death," said Jobe.

Because of this, Mary Magdalene became the very first of billions of humans to believe in her heart "that Jesus is Lord and that God has raised Him from the dead" (Romans 10:9).

"When we look upon the Lord, we can't help but be changed. So, we look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He rewards us with His presence—in us and among us. And nothing is ever the same," assured Jobe.
