"Wasteland 3" was recently announced, and in just three days, the developers managed to attain the $2.7 Million goal they put up for crowdfunding. In celebration of this, they have released a brand new trailer showcasing the snowy wastelands of Colorado and the use of vehicles in the new game.

As reported by IGN, inXile Entertainment CEO Brian Fargo confirmed they had earned over $2.8 Million in just three days. They still had 24 days of potential funding left, but there are other stretch goals that could be reached, such as reaching $3.1 Million. When that goal is achieved players will be able to create emblems that will be seen in the game.

"'Wasteland 3' represents the most ambitious title that we have crowdfunded so far," Fargo explained. "We wouldn't be here without our fans and backers carrying the torch and we want to continue to repay them by making the best role-playing games possible. With 'Wasteland 3' we aim to over-deliver like never before."

The new video trailer starts with the player's main party, the Desert Rangers, driving a vehicle into an enemy group's base. There, the player goes through multiple dialogue options. In the video, the conversation goes sour and combat begins.

However, the video showcases that the vehicle is not just there for traveling purposes. There are moments in the trailer where a party member uses a door as a shield, and another party member climbs into the vehicle to use some of its built-in guns and defenses.

The video then cuts out to prevent showcasing any further spoilers of the story that await players in the game.

Kotaku reports that when the game rolls out, there will be other vehicles in the game, and all of them will play a crucial part. There is also a new main headquarters called the Rangers Base, and players will be able to improve this base of operations as they go along in the campaign.

As of writing, no official release date has been announced.
