"Violet Evergarden" will hit TV screens sometime in 2018, but before that, fans in Japan will have a chance to see it before the rest of the world do at a preliminary screening.

On "Violet Evargarden's" official Twitter page, it has been announced that the screening will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21. Special content will also be delivered alongside talks with the production team. The Twitter page also shared that tickets for the event were already available for purchase online.

Unfortunately, those residing outside Japan will have to wait a little longer before they see "Violet Evergarden"; although acording to Anime News Network, Kyoto Animation has announced that Netflix would eventually stream "Violet Evergarden" worldwide.

Two TV commercials for the anime have already been released and both are available for viewing on Kyoto Animation's YouTube channel. Both of the commercials are merely a few seconds long but they feature the show's animation, character design, and soundtrack, giving excited anime fans a preview of what's to come and what to expect in the near future.

The show's official Twitter page revealed some of the people working on "Violet Evergarden." The anime will be directed by Taichi Ishidate; the music composition will be done by Reiko Yoshida; and Kyoto Animation will be the studio in charge of production.

"Violet Evergarden" was originally a light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase. The novel tells the story of a doctor who created a robot for his wife. She was a novelist who had gone blind and the robot would write for her because she no longer could.

The doctor dubbed his invention Auto Memories Doll and it became a popular thing. The Auto Memories Doll would write for people who could not and express emotions and feelings on behalf of their behalf.
