It is new romance, new discovery, and a new Elena this week on "The Vampire Diaries." Season 6 episode 3 is entitled "Welcome to Paradise," and there have been several promo clips released to give a preview of what's to come.

First, there's a budding romance between Tyler and Liv. It starts with a party invitation, and Tyler informs Liv that there will be a party and if he could borrow some kegs. Tyler also slightly hints to inviting her. Liv reacts in a not-so fond way, and her twin brother Luke knows exactly what's going on.  Luke tells Liv that he is doing her thing again.

He says, "The thing where you're a b---h because you like somebody, it's pretty transparent. I don't blame you, he's hot."

Luke walks away and no one sees Liv's reaction.

Next up is the new Elena. After asking Alaric in the episode "Yellow Ledbetter" to erase her memories of Damon, she is now a newly invigorated woman. However, Caroline is not used to the new Elena, and she's still adjusting to her simply knowing Damon as Stefan's brother and nothing more than that. Watch this clip of "Welcome to Paradise."

Over on Facebook, not many fans are happy about Elena's decision to forget Damon, especially now that Damon and Bonnie are working hard to know where they are and how to come back. How would Damon react if he comes back and Elena couldn't care less about him? That will be heartbreaking.

Last, Caroline, Elena and Jeremy go to a swimming hole. According to Comic Book Movie, Elena convinces Caroline to go with them so she can introduce him to a guy named Liam. Further, Stefan starts to notice the change in Elena, and Jeremy will discover something that may endanger her.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 Episode 3 will air on Oct. 16 on CW Network.
