US President Donald Trump says he would beat Oprah in 2020 Presidential election

United States President Donald Trump addressed reports about going against the famous Oprah Winfrey in the 2020 Presidential election. Trump stated Oprah will not run for the next Presidential election, but if she did, Trump said he would defeat her.

During a meeting with Bipartisan Members of the Senate about immigration, a reporter asked Trump on his thoughts about the reports. Trump quickly replied with, "Yeah, I'll beat Oprah. Oprah will be a lot of fun."

Trump then continued to say that he is good friends with Oprah. "I know her very well. You know I did one of her last shows. She had Donald Trump, this is before politics. Her last week and she had Donald Trump and my family, it was very nice. I like Oprah, I don't think she's gonna run," Trump said.

Some people, however, disagree that Trump will be able to beat Oprah. A poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports indicates that Oprah has a good lead against Trump. The poll reported that 48 percent of likely U.S. voters would choose Oprah over Trump.

Oprah has not addressed Trump's statement about him beating her in the 2020 Presidential election.

Rumors and reports about the possibility of Oprah running for presidency can be traced back to her speech during the 75th Golden Globes. After accepting the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award, Oprah addressed big issues affecting women in several industries, especially sexual harassment in the entertainment business.

In her acceptance speech, Oprah said, "A new day is on the horizon. And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight and some pretty phenomenal men fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time, when nobody ever has to say me too.. again."
