It was reported that the main characters of "True Detective" season 2 will all be flawed.

According to Latin Post, Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch will be playing the two leads in the second season of "True Detective," although the actors have not confirmed yet if they will take the roles or not. Collin Farrell's character will have anger management and cocaine issues. Meanwhile, Taylor Kitsch was suspended for sexually exploiting a young woman.

There will be another female sheriff who will most likely be the center of all of the characters. The female lead will be in her 30s and will have her own issues. The character will have a troubled past and have gambling and alcohol issues. Meanwhile, the fourth guy will be the villain of "True Detective" season 2, although the details about the character were not revealed.

Although it seemed that Colin was not really in the original casting list, many fans welcomed the rumor with excitement. He is deemed fit to play a leading role of an older character mentioned to date. However, a confirmation from the party of Colin Farrell has not been given on whether he will be joining the show.

Meanwhile, show creator Nic Pizzolatto said that the script of "True Detective" season 2 is halfway finished. He also revealed that next season will feature four main characters rather than the initially rumored three lead roles.

The show creator also confirmed that season 2 will be shot in California. There were rumors that the second season will centrally revolve around the "secret occult history of the U.S. transportation system," but Pizzolatto remained tight-lipped about it.

HBO has not announced the exact premiere date of the "True Detective" season 2 yet. However, reports claimed that the series will be back on air in January 2015.
