Just a month ago, Pirozek posted a video of himself flying the RV helicopter and performing tricks.

Pirozek was vice-president of a local helicopter flying hobby club, the Seaview Rotary Wings.

His sister Amy told WSJ: "He was the best person ever. He had the biggest heart. I think he was just doing it because it was his day off. He always protected me. He was a good brother. I'll never forget that."

Helicopter enthusiasts regularly visit Calvert Vaux Park to fly their devices. Three or four others were in the vicinity when the accident occurred.

The aircraft fell from the sky and slashed the victim in the head and the throat as it made its way down, according to police.
