The Android 5.0 Lollipop OS was rolled out to Nexus 4, 5, 7 and 10 last week, but immediately after users received the update, they discovered several bugs that plague the new operating system.  Below are the top five bugs and issues found by Nexus device owners upon installation of the latest Android OS.

1. Not connecting to Wi-Fi networks

One of the main issues found by users after installing the new Android 5.0 Lollipop OS is its inability to connect to Wi-Fi networks. The issue was first reported by developers who claimed that Nexus 5, 7 and 9 devices running with the latest operating system saves passwords of the networks but fails to connect.

2. Losing data during OTA update

Some users reported that they lost data while installing the new mobile software Over-The-Air. Although this seldom happens, users are constantly reminded to back up their device and their personal files and photos before updating to the new OS.

3. Draining battery life

Nexus 5 users reported fast discharge rate or poor battery life after the installation of Android 5.0 Lollipop, perhaps due to the power-hogging features of the new OS.  Google reportedly released a fix for this particular issue already.

4. Incomplete installation of Android 5.0 Lollipop OS

One of the biggest problems of the new Google's firmware is that some users were unable to complete the installation due to a "missing system.img" error message. The bug prevents the complete installation of the Android OS in Nexus devices.

5. Some apps are still incompatible with Android 5.0 L

Some of the apps are still incompatible with the latest firmware. Google or Android has not specified which apps are not working smoothly with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, although it's safe to say that some developers have not yet finished updating their apps.

Google has not released fixes or solutions for most of the aforementioned bugs and issues.
