When Ubisoft announced another upcoming title in the Tom Clancy videogame franchise, fans were excited. Earlier posts and teasers about the upcoming "The Division" were promising, and hardcore players and casual shooter title fans alike were reportedly waiting patiently to finally get their hands on the game.
However, "The Division" will reportedly launch next year with a very different graphics style than what was seen previously.
According to Master Herald, a YouTube video from MacroStyle highlighted the changes to the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game, based on a presentation from Ubisoft's official Twitch channel. In the video, MacroStyle highlighted some missing elements to the Ubisoft presentation, and how the overall impression for the current development of "The Division" seemed like it was downgraded when compared to earlier development videos of the title.
However, the downgrade rumors were just observations by hardcore fans, and Ubisoft itself has yet to comment on the speculations. Meanwhile, as the presentation was just for the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the title, it is expected that the PC version will still have the same detailed graphics design, since it will depend on the graphics cards of the player's computer platform.
When Ubisoft announced the shooter and survival title, the publisher highlighted how the game will take advantage of an advanced graphics engine called the Snowdrop engine. This will add more details to the design, making "The Division" as close to real visuals as possible in terms of shadows, reflections, and other nitty-gritty graphics details. In addition, it was also reported that to ensure the best possible content and graphics for the title, "The Division" is being worked on by a number of development teams simultaneously.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" is slated to be released for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC by next year, with March 08, 2016 as the targeted rollout date.
