Tim Tebow news: Plays football in TNT studio with Shaq and Charles Barkley

Former Denver Broncos quarterback and New York Mets outfielder, Tim Tebow, recently made an appearance at the TNT talk show "Inside the NBA," wherein he participated in the shenanigans of National Basketball Association (NBA) legends Shaquille O'Neal and Sir Charles Barkley. Tebow, O'Neal, and Barkley briefly engaged in a playful football match to have some fun.

In a tweet released on Jan. 5 through the official NBA on TNT Twitter page, a one-minute clip was released showing just exactly how the football play went down. Tebow was to set a play, give the ball to O'Neal, and Barkley was waiting on the other end to defend against a charging O'Neal. O'Neal hit Barkley quite hard, considering that the hosts were not playing a real game of football, and were still wearing their professional suits.

The tweet was humorously captioned with "I think you separated my shoulder," referring to what Barkley told O'Neal after the tackle. As it turns out, the three legendary athletes were supposed to take a short break with a little bit of rough housing. However, the hosts of "Inside the NBA" and Tebow were not aware that they were already live, and Kenny "The Jet" Smith can be heard at the end of the clip stating "I didn't know we back on."

After the tackle by O'Neal, Barkley was joking that he may have sustained a broken shoulder. Fortunately, this was not true. But this incident is one of the string of misfortunes Barkley had come across since the beginning of the year. Barkley lost a bet with his co-host, Ernie Johnson, which means that Barkley would have to pay for a dinner that costs over $12,000.

The segment coincides with college football season, which is something that Tebow is known for, being dubbed as the greatest college football player in the history of the sport.
