'The Voice' season 10 auditions begin

 NBC

Just two months following the finale of "The Voice" season 9, with contestant Jordan Smith winning the competition, the auditions for season 10 have already been scheduled and are set to begin this Jan. 9. According to the NBC auditions page, auditions will start at Minute Maid Park, Union Station Lobby Entrance in Houston, Texas.

By Jan. 23 the auditions will move to Memphis Cook Convention Center, Tennessee. Auditions will then be held at the Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois on Feb. 6 and 7 before moving to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on Feb. 20 and 21.

The compete list of dates and locations are also listed on the NBC's official audition page. Any legal resident of the United States from age 15 and above can join and the show is also welcoming both solo artists and duets. All genres, whether they be R&B, rock, pop and others, are accepted.

However, part of the registration process is to fill up a registration form at the official NBC "The Voice" audition website and at the time of writing the site is constantly crashing due to an influx of visitors, so it will take some perseverance and constant page-refreshing in order to push through.

According to the registration guidelines, it is vital to start registration more than a week before the audition date because NBC will have to email an audition pass that has to be printed out and accompanied by an ID.

NBC has not yet announced when season 10 will officially air but it is confirmed that Christina Aguillera will be returning as one of the four judges, taking over Gwen Stefani who sat in her place for seasons 7 and 9.

In related news, Movie News Guide reports that season 9 champion Jordan Smith has officially been engaged to girlfriend Kristen Denny. The singer proposed this recent New Year's Eve and his fiancee has posted photos of the engagement ring given to her on social media.
