'The Vampire Diaries' season 6: New relationships to bloom in new season

The Vampire Diaries -- "Rescue Me" CW

New relationships will form on the sixth season of "The Vampire Diaries" as characters will find new love.

There were talks that Jeremy will find a new flame next season. WetPaint predicted that Jeremy and Liv will end up together. Now, that Bonnie disappeared with Damon when the Other Side was wiped out, Liv may enter the scene. In the previous season, Liv flirted shamelessly with Jeremy right in front of Bonnie.

There is no confirmation yet from show's creators whether Bonnie and Damon will comeback from where they have gone to. Liv could jump to the chance to get closer to Jeremy.

Meanwhile, there is a big fuss around Stefan and Caroline as the two were rumored to be together next season. Fans were worried that this may cause a tension between Caroline and Elena. Although Elena was with Damon, Stefan was a big part of her past.

"Her feelings for Stefan are friend feelings. I personally feel like she's not quite sure what she's feeling. It's all types of confusing. Lots of grey area: Stefan is her friend. Elena loved Stefan. Elena's her best friend. Kind of a no-fly zone, which is why I think that if she has had any more-than-friend feelings she's pushed them away or convinced herself otherwise," executive producer Caroline Dries said.

Damon's disappearance or apparent death due to "Project Kaboom" will cause confusion and sadness to Stefan. Caroline will be at Stefan's side but her presence may not be enough to fill the void in Stefan's heart. Caroline and Stefan shared a different kind of bond and friendship in the past seasons.

TV Line also reported that Caroline will act on her feelings towards her crush on "The Vampire Diaries" season 6. Dries also teased by saying, "We're going to see [Caroline] set her sights on [said crush] and try to make a move." Fans may see Caroline struggling about her feelings toward Stefan.
