"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 8 marks the first time in the franchise that a season airs without any of the original main cast. However, the most recent episode saw the temporary return of original star NeNe Leakes, who has now opened up regarding her momentary return in the series.

Speaking to BravoTV, Leakes explained that she wasn't sure at first about returning, stating that she was in a different mindset and was already living in peace. Fans will recall that Leakes left the show before the premiere of season 8 to get away from the drama and frantic nature that the series is known for.

Leakes also explained that she wasn't sure if she would be received well by the main cast, particularly now that there were many new cast members. The actress explained that she was never sure how well their onscreen and offscreen chemistry would go.

When asked about Kim Fields, Leakes called her out as an "odd fit," stating Fields was too quiet and that it was mostly her husband Christopher Morgan doing all the talking throughout Leakes's time on the show.

The actress then got to the point of addressing Kenya, who stated that Leakes backstabbed Cynthia.

"I didn't take kindly to being called a 'backstabber,' which is nowhere near my character. I am a lot of things, and I own most of them loud and proud with no problem. Cynthia and I were friends who had a public falling out," she exclaimed. "The drama between me and Cynthia is behind us. We have moved on. We are friends."

She continued to explain that she likely did more to Cynthia than Cynthia did to her and that she had placed all those issues in the past, claiming she is in a more peaceful place these days.

Leakes will continue her guest appearance on the show when the next episode sees the housewives go out on a vacation.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
