Fans of "The Originals" may expect war soon, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, especially with Klaus and Elijah having to deal with Mikael and Esther.

The duo also has to face the arrival of brothers Finn and Kol, who are now being portrayed by Yusuf Gatewood (Vincent) and Daniel Sharman (Kaleb).

With a possibly blood-spattered family reunion, actor Daniel Gillies has opened up about what fans can expect from the "Originals" characters. Elijah, for instance, has become more cautious and is likely to put his guard up higher.

"He's wary, "Gillies said, referring to Elijah's suspicions especially in relation to his mother. "Kol was certainly troublesome when he was around. The moment that Elijah becomes aware that Finn has made a return, Elijah will be suspicious that his mother is somewhere in the picture because Finn has a deep allegiance to [Esther]."

With Klaus and Elijah learning about the resurrection of their parents, it is expected that they'd want to get rid of them as soon as possible.

GIllies has also shared his sentiments as the actor asks himself whether or not the Mikaelson family would ever be united again despite their chaotic family experiences.

"If I were an audience member, I would be more curious about whether or not they could find resolution or some degree of understanding about their history," Gillies shared. "There's no denying that there's something vulgar about Mikael and his pursuit to rid the world of his children, or so it seems, but I'm not certain that Klaus is much better, in terms of his morality."

As such, considering Klaus' state at the moment, such "resolution" may be unattainable.

Finally, Gillies mentioned about a war coming and "looming on the horizon" that may combine both physical and emotional components.

He also acknowledged the season's emphasis on the characters of the Original family, highlighting and following their actual stories from Klaus and Elijah to Rebekah and Hayley. Gillies stated that recreating the family is highly necessary to answer questions in the near future.

"The Originals" airs every Monday at 8 p.m. on The CW.
