'Hunger Games 3' spoilers: First part of two films to focus on Peeta's rescue

"The Hunger Games" fans have been counting with pins and needles for the showing of the third installment of the movie adaptation of the popular dystopian trilogy.  Followers can sense the date getting closer as the production company released its first official trailer to give the waiting fans a glimpse of what they should expect in the upcoming sequel.

Latest speculations claim that "Mockingjay Part 1" will focus on saving Peeta from the clutches of the Capitol. In the trailer, less of Peeta is shown, but Katniss fiercely threatens the rebels; "You will rescue Peeta at the earliest opportunity or you will find another Mockingjay".

The trailer does a great job in enticing people to go see the movie in November by highlighting its greatest asset – its superb cast. It shows plenty of scenes of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, and it also gives a preview of Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy; Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensby; Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin; and Donald Sutherland as President Snow.

It was earlier reported that the forthcoming film lightly strayed away from the original narrative in Suzanne Collin's novel. Some tweaks and minor changes were made in the film, but it will not greatly alter the whole context of the original plot.  This is confirmed by director Francis Lawrence who revealed that the film will add some scenes that are not featured in the book.

"Instead of changing the plot and changing characters, what we did was have the opportunity to show scenes that could have been happening at different times in the book," he told Entertainment Weekly.

He also confirmed that the film's protagonist Katniss Everdeen will be distraught and disoriented. Likewise, the love triangle between Peeta, Katniss and Gale will still be at play. However, it will be harder this time because of Peeta's situation.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" will be released on Nov. 21, 2014 and the second part will hit the theaters a year after on Nov. 20, 2015.
